Leisure activities for seniors

This bachelor thesis focuses on leisure activities of seniors and highlights the differences in leisure time pursuits between seniors living in senior homes and those living in their own houses. The theoretical part of the thesis explains the concepts of seniors, aging, and changes in old age. It further examines preparation for old age, adaptation, aging demographics, senior needs, and senior motivation. The empirical section includes a questionnaire survey supplemented by four structured interviews.
Architectural study of the sports area of the Favorit Brno cycling stadium

The aim of the bachelor's thesis was the design of the reconstruction of the Favorit Brno cycling stadium, the so-called velodrome, located in Brno - the centre of Pisárky, southeast of the Brno Exhibition Centre at Křižíkovsého Street. The velodrome does not meet the current requirements of track cycling. A new 250m long wooden cycle track will be built into the existing stadium. The space that will be created after the shortening of the track will serve as a multifunctional area on which a mobile BMX track can be built. This is connected to the passageway 'coming out' of the building and going back inside. The facilities for the BMX track is under the velodrome stands in the southern part. The design also includes an annexe which will serve as a track cycling facility and administrative space. The proposal also includes a completly roofed building, as currently the roof structure only covers the grandstands. The new roofing builds on the existing roof as the roof structure has historical value.

Free time activities of elderly in the Liberec region

The thesis is focused on leisure activities of seniors in the Liberec region. The current situation of the main issue is theoretically described in the introduction of the thesis. Definitions of the concepts of a senior, aging and old age, leisure and leisure activities of seniors, and the needs of seniors are provided. At the end of the theoretical part, prejudices and stereotypes about old age presented. The practical part of the thesis contains the results of quantitative design research, which was carried out both in the form of a questionnaire of 300 seniors in the Liberec region, and by analyzing data - websites, the output of which is a database of publicly accessible leisure activities for seniors in district cities of the Liberec region. The main purpose of the thesis is mapping the situation in the area of publicly accessible leisure activities for seniors in the Liberec region. The results showed that there is no clear and comprehensive offer of publicly accessible leisure activities for seniors in the Liberec region. They learn about them mainly from the media and from relatives and acquaintances. A pupil with extraordinary talent in primary school

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of exceptionally gifted pupils in the first stage of primary school. It is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. Its theoretical part is focused on illuminating the basic concepts associated with the topic of talent. Its aim is to introduce the basic types of talent and their possible combinations together, to characterize gifted and exceptionally gifted students, to state possible ways of their identification and to present principles and possibilities of work in their education, together with support in leisure activities. It also provides an overview of legislation that deals with the upbringing and education of the gifted. In the practical part, a survey was conducted with the help of interviews, together with an analysis of documents and subsequently case studies were prepared focusing on the needs of individual exceptionally gifted students, their parents and teachers in the entire educational process.
The structure of leisure actvities girls school age operating performance physical aktivity in the region Táborsko

Nowadays, children's leisure activities are a big topic due to increasing obesity and limited movement. My work describes leisure time, leisure pedagogy, older school age, institutions that provide leisure activities and studies related to leisure activities. The main goal of my bachelor's thesis was to find out the structure of leisure activities of girls of older school age, outside their physical performance activities. 90 older school-age girls actively participated in my research. Their task was to fill in a questionnaire of my own work, this survey took place in November 2020 to February 2021. It was found that girls attend more artistic and sports activities than natural or scientific. They spend 2 to 6 hours a week in these activities. They visit them rather at the Primary School and the Basic Art School. The number of activities did not change for most girls in the first half of the year, nor did it change due to the covid pandemic.
Vybrané výukové metody vhodné pro práci v zájmovém čtenářském kroužku při MK v Měčíně

The bachelor thesis deals with the selected teaching methods which are applied in a readers club in MK Měčín. The theoretical part of the thesis introduces the essence of the readers club as an unit and selected teaching methods of work with literary text suitable for leisure activities for pre-school children. The practical part contains a set of methodological materials created for this purpose and their verification in practice. The conclusion of the thesis includes a comparison of selected methods, which proved to be the most suitable for work in the readers club.
Suburban camp focused on cycling

This bachelor thesis focuses on differences of suburban and summer camps. The thesis is entirely theoretical. After defining the basic terms, it describes different types of camps and delimits cycling as a sport, as it is mainly focused on a suburban cycling camp. The thesis describes the specifics of a cycling suburban camp and emphasises the safety rules related to this sport. Organisation of a suburban camp, possibilities of its promotion and propositions of cycling activities are briefly mentioned in the conclusion of the thesis.

Practical bachelor thesis "Interest subcultures and is this still a hobby?" Radio reports on the life of communities connected with the way of spending free time deals with two selected subcultures of interest. Their members differ from the rest of society in the way they spend their free time. Selected subcultures are radio amateurs and fans of public transport. In the theoretical part, I describe the genre that I chose to report on these subcultures, and that is field report. I also mention the specifics of radio production, focusing on field report, I focus on the format of the podcast and I define the terms subculture and community. I also describe the mentioned subcultures. In the practical part, I use the knowledge from the theoretical part to create the basis of a radio series of reports. I made the first two episodes for this bachelor thesis. They focus on a detailed description of the activities that unite the subcultures, explaining their motivation, the problems they face, the internal relations between their members and their own view of the subculture.
Horticultural therapy in individuals with autism spectrum disorder

Title: Horticultural therapy in individuals with autism spectrum disorder Objectives: The objective of this work was to map the use of education in the natural environment in children with autism spectrum disorder in schools and leisure organizations in the Czech Republic, with special focus on therapeutic- pedagogical use of gardens, called horticultural therapy. As a part of investigation, it was examined whether this form of therapy was part of the teaching process and how it might influence the behaviour of the individuals concerned. Methods: Empirical research was conducted by collecting data using a questionnaire of its own design. It has been sent to school educators who include the inclusion of children with autism spectrum disorder and to special organizations caring for individuals with autism spectrum disorder throughout Czech Republic. Results: The results of the questionnaire survey, which evaluated 40 responses, show that of the respondents interviewed, 41 % encountered the concept of ecotherapy and perceived it as an appropriate supplement. However, the same percentage said they were hearing about ecotherapy for the first time. 38,7 % of respondents incorporate horticultural therapy into an individual education plan and educational support or development plans for pupils/clients when...
